I call my Solo Dance: CAPAS ~ LAYERS, to embody my creative expression in dance as an evolution in layers, not only over time but also on stage with what I wear, play with, let go or enhance my improvisation with .
As a ( Spanish) Flamenco dancer, one learns through intense training about music, cultural traditions and techniques for the lyrical expression of the body and as percussionist with shoes . I have immensely enjoyed to dance percussively for 40 years !
But now, through the acceptance of my body’s changes, I have become mostly a barefoot Flamenca . The new way of dancing has brought me back to its origin, when women danced barefoot on earth, sand and hard packed mud floor. I love it so much !
My dance has become more of a trance dance, allowing me and those present, to feel the energetic effect of the wonderful Flamenco music I choose and the free improvisation I playfully explore .
Women, even through Menopause & Beyond, can keep dancing Flamenco (or any form), if they allow themselves to keep exploring what their changing bodies allow after all the immense transformations that this major phase in a woman’s life brings .
CAPAS ~ LAYERS, is also a one- woman- dance- theater ( directed by Keni Cohen in 2024) that moves through the layers of my initiation into the rich world of Flamenco as a teenager, through my evolution as artist, mother, healing worker and the power of a journey called:“ Inana’s descent”.
This is what I lovingly call : MenoStruck & Beyond !
Beyond (Menopause) is hopefully when a woman integrates all that she knows, has studied and learnt, experienced and worked through , and is now embodying, in her full power and inner freedom .
These are some of the revelations I hope to transmit and let others absorb, as they witness my dance .

This will be a Spanish themed evening with music, dance, wine and tapas and the invitation to participate in painting to your heart’s desire. Or also just enjoy the evening and creative space. The event is from 6-7:30 pm.
