  Arte Flamenco Music & Dance w/guest Anil Prasad on Indian tablas

   Anil Prasad began playing percussion at the age of seven, and accompanied his mother, Prabha Devi, a famous Indian vocalist and sitar player. He was recruited to the Husky Drumline out of high school and became the Husky Drumline section leader for two consecutive years. Anil is a student of tabla masters, Tor Dietrichson, Ustad Akram Khan, and Ustad Zakir Hussain and records and performs with many western, world music, and Indian groups in Seattle and beyond

  
   

  Rafael Vargas, Peruvian music writer and guitarist, adept at a number of musical styles, currently he has devoted himself to the intensive demands of the flamenco art and has been bringing his dynamic and powerful guitar playing to concert halls of the Northwest  and abroad.

  Esther Marion, dancer who also sings, also producer of Flamenco shows that feature national and international guest artists.

  Guitarist Rafael Vargas on Guitar, Esther Marion with Vocals & Dance and Anil Prasad on Indian Tabla. We will be back for an intimate night at Cafe Paloma, a wonderful small restaurant with the perfect ambience and mediterranean foods, wines and desserts. We will present to you a night of an interesting mix of modern and traditional Flamenco Music & Dance with the embellishment and solos of the melodious and awesome Indian Tabla. The night will be a rich experience of deep songs and guitar melodies, intense and poetic dance and a river of intricate , complex rhythms.....along with a superb mediterranean meal and wine!
